Process Solution Control or Process Analytical Chemistry (PAC) is used in manufacturing including the application of surface treatments and coatings.
PAC is the application of analytical chemistry with specialised methods and sampling techniques for the determination of composition and contaminant levels related to chemical processes. PAC may also be used in problem solving.
Where the chemical processes are for production and quality control of manufactured products, PAC is used to determine the physical and chemical composition of the manufactured products.
Techniques include:
Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy
UV/Vis Spectroscopy
Ion Chromatography
Wet Chemistry
